Stewardship

How It Works

The Scott Foundation Wild At Heart Project advances the stewardship and conservation of animals and their habitats while providing experiences that inspire and motivate young people to care for our natural world.  Our leadership programs provide year-round hands-on experiences that bring young people together with animal and aquarium related industry leaders.  Working together, they create and support events that raise awareness and generate action to rescue, heal, educate and care for animals and their habitats.

In the spirit of selfless service, once a year, our growing Thought & Service Leaders get involved to help and gift a local Animal Welfare & Rescue organization funds to support their mission.

  • Only active** Scott Foundation Vision Keepers and/or Vision Partners are eligible to nominate a Fashion Paw Tea charity recipient.
  • Nominations must be submitted by the third Friday of October, and be approved for name inclusion.
  • Each active Scott Foundation Vision Keeper and/or Vision Partner has the opportunity to nominate a local Animal Welfare & Rescue charity.
There are eligibility requirements and nominations must be approved at least four (4) weeks prior to the Annual Fashion Paw Tea event and actively involve Scott Foundation Thought & Service Leaders in one or more learning experiences in the same awarding calendar year.
  • Each year, following the presentation of funds to the present charity, a name will be drawn from “the hat” announcing the following years selected charity that the kids will be working with.
