The Farm At Scott Foundation

Born from the hearts of Arizona foster youth, both our Permaculture and Animal Welfare programs have been core pillars of selfless service for 18+ years.  The Farm at Scott Foundation fulfills the passion our collective kids have in creating a well-balanced ecosystem while treating the environment and the animals with respect.

A Dream Warrior is someone who uses their passion, dream or gift to provide for their loved ones and community.

Ethics

The Ethical Basis of Permaculture

  • CARE FOR THE EARTH: Provision for all life systems to continue and multiply.
  • CARE OF PEOPLE: Provision for people to access those resources necessary to their existence.
  • SETTING LIMITS TO POPULATION AND CONSUMPTION: By governing our own needs, we can set resources aside to further the above principles.

                                                - Bill Mollison, Permaculture A Designer's Manual

the man who planted trees

Seeking inspiration...  This is a wonderful animation of the fictional short story by the French writer Jean Giono about Elzéard Bouffier, a shepherd who single-handedly reforested a desolate region of France. The acclaimed film was directed by Frédéric Back.
